Experience is not something you can buy, but it is something you will pay dearly for.

I write text blog entries on this site (you can access it by going to my profile), but I post pictures on my blogspot account, I've just found it's easier. My blogspot can be found in my signature at the bottom of this post I've only had braces a few months so you won't have to scroll through a ton of old stuff. Make sure you look at the very first picture though so you can see what insane progress I've made!

Wow, your teeth look a lot like mine! Specially the upper arch. The lower too, but in my case the crowding is way worse.
As soon as I get the aligners (on June the 28th!) I'll start blogging my progress. Already took pics of my teeth, but I feel too ashamed to post them yet That lower arch of mine is a nightmare.

Reading other people's blogs is really inspiring, can't wait to do the same (and hopefully see some progress too)

    Hi!
I just uploaded a couple of pictures of how my teeth look like before starting my treatment: Boira wants a new smile - Blogs

The pics aren't fantastic, I never though taking pics of your own teeth would be so difficult

I have a week to snack like crazy... my cookies-at-work days are almost over!

The links seem to work fine for me (checked from 2 different computers and from my iPhone), try open these direct links (if the problem still persists, I can upload the pictures to another server, no problem )

Had my impressions done last Wednesday, July 13th and will have the ClinCheck video uploaded to the orto's web site. Was told that should be a couple of weeks. Getting an extraction done tomorrow. Was told 8 - 10 attachments and 24 - 26 months. Come on 2013.

    Welcome to the 2-years team!
My lower arch needs 48 trays, and my upper one 'only' 26. Ugh!

So I had the tooth taken out last Thursday and all went well. The dentist used a lot more freezing than he said he usually uses but the tooth finally gave in and out it came. I spoke with the ortho at the dentists request as the dentist was concerned about possible tooth movement near the "gap". I was told no need to worry, my ClinCheck has been modified and sent off for the manufacture of the Aligners. They should be in next week sometime.
I will be viewing the ClinCheck with the ortho along with the insertion of the Aligners. As this looks like my last weekend with naked teeth I will be eating and drinking freely as I am sure things will change and not all for the good. lol.

    ortho visit

ermm not really just the same sort of stuff....

Interesting though my ortho has told me that if i'm going on a night out/party its more beneficial to leave the trays in and drink through a straw making sure to brush thoroughly afterwards.... she also said i could drink certain sweeteners or sugarless drinks.

As for first day at work a few people have looked when close up conversation but nobody has asked, my speech is pretty much normal , no dry mouth, no rubbing.... still haven't attempted to take them off haha

LMS, sounds like you are adapting very well to the Aliens in your mouth. Is talking still OK and what have any reactions been like?
    Have a great weekend all.

    hi karl

my speech is almost the same as it was before just now and again it feels difficult to say my S' because the plastic laying along the tops of the back molars are in the way of closing right down.

Erm reactions off people who know so far say they are great can only see them if they are as close as a meter away.My boyfriend found them amusing because when out he recognized it as my teeth he did say it made me kiss different but he didn't say bad different change is good. My sister couldn't tell even when i was pointing and telling her to look at my mouth.

People who don't know like colleagues at work seem like they have had a look when in close conversation with me but none have asked about them may just be my paranoia there mind.

Have a good weekend too x

After some months of widening the upper arch, the front teeth are finally ready to start moving. It's only the beginning, but I'm incredibly happy to see that changes are finally noticeable, not only "preparatory work". Yay!
