flat cost of invisalign? list price before consult?

i have been to two separate doctors and both said 5,000 (give or take slightly) and thats before my mouth was ever involved. I wonder if this is the norm? One is an ortho (who was actually the lesser of the two) who did only invisalign but i was put off by the financial meeting before i even met the dentist. I was wondering what this group's take was on this.

I ended up choosing an Elite Provider in my area (this area is a very 'posh posh' part of Denver) and the cost for my treatment was just around the 5k range... If I were you, I would choose the ortho - as you mentioned he does a lot of Invisalign work.. But the 5k quote you got is pretty much the norm... Good luck with your decision!

The pricing structure seems odd to me too. My sister and I started with invisalign at the same time but as my teeth were worse than hers I was expecting to have to pay more but we have been charged the same. Her initial treatment lasted 9 months and mine closer to 18 months. With much more IPR and loads more appointments I would have thought mine to be much more expensive. I'm OK with it but I think she feels a bit ripped off.

Just curious who your doctor is. I also live in Denver and have an Elite provider. There are not many in Denver so I wondered if we have the same Ortho.
