Congrats on your new journey! Check out things on the board here and please feel free to ask questions, everybody here is very helpful.
It took about an hour and fifteen minutes, between the dentist and assistant explaining things, and the assistant placing the attachments on my teeth.
I have 8 attachments they are all on the sides (2 top and 2 bottom) and they are not noticeable!!
I've only had the trays in for about an hour and I'm getting use to them already. At first they felt like the vampire teeth that I use to wear for Halloween when I was a kid, but now I am barley noticing them being in. They don't hurt or anything - they just felt a little snug when the assistant first popped them in. I can only hope that the entire treatment goes this smoothly.
I have 22 trays and my dentist confirmed that my treatment time will be 10.5 months total, but I HAVE to wear them 24/7, meaning 22+ hrs per day. This may be a challenge but I am definitely up for it!!
Thanks Bekster!
Okay, not even 24 hrs into wearing the trays, and after 2 meals, I am noticing a concern/frustration. One word = ATTACHMENTS! Aesthetically they're great, but when I remove the aligners to eat, I'm noticing that the attachments on the right side are causing me to bite down on my inner lip when I chew. It's a little painful and really annoying. This morning I noticed that I have little red marks on my inner lip where I've been biting.
Has anyone else experienced this? How was is corrected?

Half way there! Woo Hoo!!
Thanks again! Yeah, maybe I spoke too soon. For the last two meals I've had, I only bit my lip a few times as opposed to every time I chewed before (gosh that was annoying). I made an appointment with my dentist yesterday, but I'm going to cancel it since it looks like I just needed to get use to eating with them on.
Cheers!
I also bite myseld her and there but getting used to it. Good luck and lets hope that the final result will be the planned one
U31 & L23 finished.
Refinements U9 & L9 of 13 or 16?!
Agree, it's a funny thing but you do get used to the attachments. The first week or so they drove me nuts but now hardly notice them, they are mildly annoying I guess and I will be glad when off but amazing how quickly you accommodate to stuff.
I had attachments with my first set of trays which I got 6 days ago. The first two days my mouth was so cut up from the attachments and an off bite, that I could only eat soft food like soup and yogurt. As someone mentioned, I couldn't wait to put the trays back in.
I have now adjusted to those issues, but I still feel extreme pressure on my upper teeth and I just cannot imagine feeling this way for 10 months! Other people seem to get over the pressure problem in a few days. Are my trays too tight?
