how often do you go to the dentist for cleanings while using invisalign?

ive had invisalign for 4 months. i went to the dentist today for my first cleaning. she didnt really know much about invisalign but during my cleaning she had to polish my white fillings. she also told me i had to brush better. i found that weird considering in all my time with her she never told me that and i have also been brushing more than ever.

now im worried cause my next appointment is 6 months from now. i dont want to have cavities forming or anything like that. have i not been brushing properly or is there anything else i can do?

I've been going every 6 months. Haven't had any additional issues or anything. I guess I'll know next week when I have my second checkup since getting invisalign. First visit was only a couple of months in. But I know I'm brushing way more than ever, using waterpik, etc. so hoping for good outcome.

I have just started Invisalign Tray 3. Due to my bleeding gums (not anymore bleeding) i was going to the dentsit every 4 months over a year. I will continue to go every 4 months with invisalign. If you are worried I would go to the dentist more often while wearing invis. After invsi. treatment, i will go back to every 6 months.

I see my ortho every 2/3 months and that's that. I don't have a regular dentist as such but would go to one in his practice if he told me there was a problem. He cleans my teeth anyway on visits and I am quite strict with cleaning, flossing and mouthwash.

I visit the dentist and hygienist every 4 months. I see the dentist to check that all is ok as I'm really paranoid about the health of my teeth and the hygienist to get them cleaned up and polished.

Before invisalign, I used to forget to go to the dentist - I thought I was going often but when I went for my pre-Invisalign visit, I was told I hadn't been there in nearly 1.5 years!! Thankfully my teeth were ok. I went to the hygienist at the same time after 3 years, and I'll never leave it that long again! It was so unpleasant cos there was a lot of cleaning to be done, I've def learnt my lesson!

Been back to the dentist and hygienist twice since - teeth are fine and the hygienist only has positive things to say about how clean my teeth are. Once I'm done with invisalign (fingers crossed it will be March), I'll visit the dentist and hygienist once the attachments are off and then return to 6 month check-ups.
