    Black Triangle AFTER Invisalign

I recently viewed my clincheck after many requests to do so. I'm already on tray #3 out of 10, so I obviously didn't review the Clincheck before starting treatment.

After I'm done with treatment, clincheck STILL shows a black triangle between my front teeth. I'm so disappointed. I hate to think that I'm paying for this treatment only to end up with a problem in my FRONT teeth. My dentist assures me that it will be an easy fix with some composite after treatment, but this is really disappointing to me.

The triangle isn't huge and is caused by a wider edge at the bottom of my teeth than the top. It seems to be bigger since I started Invisalign.

Has anyone dealt with this? Has anyone had a composite correction (without IPR) that looks decent??

Depending on how big that space is, I'm not sure why they wouldn't do at least a little IPR to close it down some. Not knowing the size of it, I can't say they'd be able to do IPR to remove it all, but I'd think some of it at least. I'm not sure if it's possible if he/she hasn't already planned to close up that space though as your trays wouldn't be configured to help move those teeth together. Not much help I know.

Yeah I've got one. I love it! It's so lovely not having the front 2 crossed anymore

The ClinCheck is not a good representation of how the gums will look after treatment. They are not considered at all by techs when doing the simulations and there is no correlation whatsoever between them and what will happen in real life.

i'm on tray 13 and i have this too....my front teeth were so crowded, so i think it's even more noticeable for me since i'm not used to seeing any spaces in my teeth
i did see it in the clincheck and brought it up to my dentist....she said we can fix it with some refinements and some ipr....
i hope so...i mean i have 7 more trays, maybe i can get used to then, but, after spending this money, it's not something i should get used to

my sister had traditional braces, and after they were off, her two front teeth started to move and she started to have a pretty big gap...and then she eventually got them bonded....and it looks fine....you would never know

Well, I'm not on tray 5 of 11 (possibly up to 14) trays, and the black triangle that I was concerned MIGHT form in the bottom is forming. The tooth needs to move BACK a bit, but I'm not sure if that will happen at the end or not. regardless, IPR wasn't in the original plan (this was technically an express) but I think it might have to be done and then the EXTENSIONS of the express treatment engaged. Regardless, I don't think it would be too advisable to have a black triangle, on the BOTTOM two front teeth?

I am on trays 19/19 waiting for refinements. I have the black triangle and I think it is just the way my gums are. I think I am just going to have to get used to it. My front teeth were so crowded and overlapping and now they are perfect which I love.

I am starting to get a black triangle on the bottom between a couple of teeth that were once extremely crowded. When smiling (which I rarely did before), I can't see the bottom of my teeth anyway, so not really worried about it if it doesn't get resolved. I'm on tray 20 of 28 with refinements already planned for after that.
