    Invisalign trays feeling loose?

Hi guys, I just put in my second set of aligners last night and they feel so much better than the first set (I had them in for a week at my ortho's request). The second set felt tight at first but they feel really comfortable today and I am finding it much easier to talk comfortably. Although nobody thought I was lisping with the first set, I thought I was. My question is, is it normal that the aligners become "loose" after a few days of wear and that affects your speech? Or maybe I am just adjusting to having the aligners in all together. Any thoughts?? Thanks :)

You will probably find that most tray sets loosen up after a few days, but that's because your teeth are moving where they're supposed to :) For me usually the second week they always felt more comfortable, less pressure and sometimes almost loose. A lot of it's getting used to them and since you're on set 2, you may not be fully used to them yet.
Best of luck on your new journey - how many trays are you scheduled for?

Thanks, did you find the "loosening" affected your speech at all? I think it might just be in my head lol
I'm scheduled for 28 Uppers and 25 Lowers - getting attachments next week as my ortho wanted me to get used to them first. I've found having them is really easy so far, I'm a bit nervous about the attachments.

Every so often I felt like I was lisping or something but only on certain words. Your trays may actually be feeling a little loose as sometimes the ortho does very little movement on first couple of trays so you can get used to them and then they throw on the attachments. Sounds like that may be a possibility with yours.

Don't stress about attachments. They do take a little getting used to - taking trays off (lots of advice on this site) as well as when your trays are off. At first I found myself biting/pinching the inside of my cheeks from the attachments. But as teeth moved plus I got used to the attachments it got much better. Plus they do hold on your trays a little better. I'm without attachments awaiting refinement trays and have been in these trays for almost 7 weeks, so they are a little looser than usual.

Ok cool, I guess it'll help to be well prepared that attachments will make it more difficult. Thanks for your advice!
