Invisalign - Ortho Wants Fillings AFTER Fittings Have Been Done?

Hi there! I am about to start my Invisalign treatment and have already had the fittings, x-rays and everything done. I have even paid my deposit and it has been months since I started this process! The problem now is that my orthodontist keeps slamming me with these new things I must get done, all of which she failed to mention before I paid and all of which must be done before she will give me my aligners! For example, I have to get all my wisdom teeth removed which will cost upwards of 1000 dollars and I understand that, but just today I got a call from her informing me that I need to get all my fillings done before we start... I have been waiting to get those fillings done since my dental plan resets in September, but she insists that I have to fill them up before we start because them not being filled will affect treatment. The thing is though, I have already had my fittings and I'm almost sure that the aligners have already been made and shipped... so if anything, wouldn't filling the teeth now make the aligners not fit properly? Am I being duped here? I'm starting to get really frustrated because I have already paid over 3500 dollars for this treatment and have not yet even gotten my first aligners!

This sounds very strange to me. wisdom teeth and fillings are things they usually think about before starting the process and taking the impressions. Sounds like she could have made a mistake. Or maybe your trays really haven't been made yet. I think the only thing you can do is ask her directly why it's so urgent to do it now. And if she keeps insisting but you don't believe her reasons, then I guess you could always just say that you can't afford it (especially if it's the truth) but you'll think about it for next year... she can't argue with that, right?
