    invisalign result

I am currently going through invisalign. I am now in aligner #9 and am unhappy with the way my teeth are looking . My over jet is slightly more pronounced I am having difficulty with my upper lip feeling natural. Is it possible to reverse the process by backtracking through the aligners?
    Thank you

Hi Marilyn - sorry you're not happy. Did you ever see your ClinCheck software animation of how your teeth will move? I asked my orthodontist to email me a copy of mine, and when I watch it I see that my teeth have to go out a little bit before they can go back in, if that makes sense. It's like the teeth have to protrude further to create space to allow whatever turning needs to be done, and then they will be able to move into a proper position. I was just wondering if that is what is happening with you.

If you're unhappy, maybe call your dentist/orthodontist and ask why your teeth seem to be moving out. He/she should be able to explain it.

I can attest to a similar experience. My overbite got a little bit worse before it started getting better. My upper lip hangs on the top of my aligners sometimes, which feels really awkward, but my teeth are starting to look fabulous at last! Hang in there and talk to your ortho.

Thank you both for your comments . I will try to see my orthodontist on Monday. Yes, I have viewed the clip check , however I can not really tell if the cover jet is going to be corrected. Good question for the ortho.

    Marilyn,
How many trays are you scheduled for? I was told by my ortho it may get worse before it gets better and that's definitely been true. I know there have been others on here that said similar things. I can't imagine trying to go backwards with my trays but mine were pretty bad to start with. Definitely talk to your ortho and tell him your concerns.
