I had a gap in the middle of my bottom teeth that just about close in 2 months.. you could feel how tight the retainers are right away and you can feel your teeth moving.. it did hurt to eat hard foods for the first fews days of the retainer.. but NO PAIN, NO GAIN!

How do?
Hello, Im on my second set of trays. I have to have 18 trays for my bottom teeth, and a massive 88 for my top teeth! Aboo! I was really enthusiastic about the whole thing until I have found people on some sites, including this one saying its not working for them!
I have just shelled out £3800 which I had to borrow to pay for this and so I want it to work really badly. I have had to get 10 attachments which my dentist said is a record! He's never seen such a complex case. I am finding it extremely difficult to get the aligners off with these attachments on, does anyone have any tips please! I need a bit of a boost about these, please can someone who it has worked for or who it is working for please drop us a line! It would be very much appreciated... Thanks |

Hang in there twisha. It will get better, and if your dentist accepted you into Invisalign, I'm confident that it will work for you..
Metal braces are a better fit for some people and cases, but you can be assured that Invialign works on most people that dentist see fit. Give it some more time.. The Retainers are just as tight as metal braces and work. NO PAIN NO GAIN is a true statement. Keep us informed to your progress. |

My first day
I had the invisalign braces put on just today. My teeth hurt so bad. I guess this is normal. After putting the traditional (metal) braces on my 3 sons it was finally my turn. I called all of them to talk to them about the aching in my mouth - the laughed at me!! I just hope I can sleep tonight. If not I guess that I will just take a "pill". Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
