Hello, I have been wearing braces for two years now, but the problem is that my upper teeth are still shifted about 3mm from the center of my face. So I am terribly desapointed! I feel they are very ugly especially after all the time and mony and nerve investment i've been waisting! I cannot anymore stant one year to make this ajustment with braces (i have suffered a lot). can it be done with invisalign? answer me plzzz

Get those braces off! jk

Check with your orthodontist and see if you are an Invisalign Candidate. I have some friends there weren't "Qualified" for it as they need to have the strong metal braces.

Good Luck to you... braces can't be that bad

Invisalign kicks ass. I couldn't imagine braces for 3 years of my life..

About time technology for teeth movement has advanced.

Maybe in 100 years, it will all be done in one day view some sort of surgery...

I thought it was going to be pretty much smooth sailing although my dentist did say I was the most complicated case hes ever seen, Ive got 10 attachments.

I have been wearing aligners no. 5 for nearly 5 weeks now because 6 dont fit. My dentist now says I have to have "buttons" attached to the aligners and wear elastics. I have seen pictures of this and it is far from invisible - the whole reason I spent £4000 on this treatment in the first place.

I am seriously peeved and am just wondering if there is anyone else out there who has had to go down this road. Dentist says I will have to use these buttons for 6-9 months!!! NOT HAPPY !! :x

You are definetely not the first. Consult a different ortho and see what he says.. it wont hurt.

I wear invisalign and I have buttons on my teeth. I have buttons on my sizor teeth (not sure about the spelling on that) on top and bottom and buttons on the teeth behind them, they are the same color as your teeth. They are not totally invisible, but they arent really noticeable either, i guess that would depend on which teeth you wear your buttons on. I know one day I was taking my invisalign out to eat and I thought a piece of my tooth broke off and fell in my hand, but it was actually a button on my lower tooth that came off. I like invisalign alot, I think i can tolerate these more than I could metal brackets, but thats just me. I have some rotation and spacing in my top teeth and you cant really even see it with the invisalign on. Also my bottom teeth were actually perfect, except that they kind of go in alittle bit, nothing noticeable, but I wear invisalign on bottom because my dentist wants to "pull them out" alittle bit. I think these are going to work just fine, and I only have to wear them a year and then a retainer for 6 months...hopefully, but I am thinking about keeping the retainer forever as I might wear it to make sure my teeth dont shift too much. My dentist hasnt gotten that far with me yet, but Im guessing he will probably want me to keep a retainer if not put on a permenant retainer
