Braces behind Teeth?

I hear that you can put braces on behind your teeth now? Is this true? Must be alot of extra work on the ortho part.

Braces behind your teeth...or lingual braces are extremely effective for treatment. They are useful for more complex cases where Invisalign will not give the desired result.

Before committing to treatment, you should ensure that the providing orthodontist is well versed in this technique as it is extremely technique sensitive and commands a high level of experience.

Dr. Vendittelli, would you have an idea how much ibraces cost in UK vs. Italy vs New York? I hear Europe is about 2 yrs ahead on the US, does this make it necessarily cheaper there? Also, what are ibraces called in Europe? Thanks.

Having it earlier does not necessary makes it cheaper though.
Maybe they have more advanced tech than the USA and it could cost even more.

Its too bad that my work doesnt cover any othrodontist work, I hope that you will be able to help me out with this.
Thank you!!!

my sister begged to have braces done this way and several orthdontist all told her the samething... go to HOLLYWOOD california where several of the orthos see celebrities and have actually got good at this...it takes longer and there are less options.

I recommend you just go with ceramics on the front and enjoy when they come off.

good luck

There is not a whole lot of difference in putting on and caring for a patient with lingual brackets. It's all about the orthodontist's training and many are trained to use lingual brackets, due to their popularity.

A popular choice where I work is upper linguals and lower ceramics. Invisalign is only suitable for a small number of people, and for those who don't want brackets to be seen ... then linguals are the brackets of choice. Linguals are the only invisible form of orthodontic treatment and popular with professionals, actors, models etc.
