Upper jaw surgery & nose

Many people on here seem to have had upper jaws advanced forward... did you notice much change to your nose? Was it subtle or dramatic.

Having my underbite fixed soon and worried about this aspect.

You're still comparitively early post-op, jawRegret - I can see that there is still some swelling. Please give it some more time to resolve fully, and give yourself some more time to get used to the new you - it may not be as bad as you're currently perceiving it to be. (And, fwiw, I agree with your gf that you look fine).

All this said, if a patient is concerned about changes to the nose, as part of the result of upper jaw surgery like this, there is a minor procedure called an alar stitch that can be carried out at the same time as the Lefort osteotomy. I think the bottom line is that it is a good idea to discuss with the surgeon any concerns about other changes to the appearance, before heading in for surgery.
