Hi everyone! Ok so here it goes..
I'll try to explain this the best i can (my english isn't perfect... :s)
I'm getting a tooth pulled out of my palate.. It's a canine... They have to open up my palate and get the tooth out of there!!!! GOOD TIMES!!!!
I'm getting this done before i get my braces...I'm extremely scared, i will be under general anesthesia which is really stressing me out and there's also a possibility that i might lose one of my front tooth! (that is because that canine tooth is really close to my left front tooth..) anyways, a LOT of stress...
I'm hoping that maybe someone has been through the same type of surgery and maybe you can tell me how it went for you?
Thank you so much![]()
Hi Kate - Small work as my brother had the same surgery about 6 years ago... He had it done a few months before getting full metal braces and I remember him also being scared, but you are 100% sleep and given pain relieves for any discomfort you have the following days.
Did you talk to the surgeon yet?

Hey kate, just want to let you know that you're not alone on this one. I'm in the process of scheduling the same surgery that you will be going through. I need to have my left canine which is unerupted and sitting vertically removed. The whole process scares me just thinking about it. But I know that once its done, i'll finally be able to get braces.
In ways my situation is worse then yours because i will also be having all of my wisdom teeth pulled as well as two baby teeth that still are rooted firmly in my mouth. The thing you should know is that you're not alone and that there are others like me and you who have the same problems. I like to think of it this way, in two or so years it'll all have been worth it and you'll have the rest of your life to enjoy a new smile. Good Luck in two days![]()
