Oral Surgery near nerve and now loss of feeling

Last week I went and had a evaluation on a lesion tissue in my jaw done. On the 11th, they removed it along with one of my tooth because it bordered to closely to the lesion. Now however, I beleive I've lost a little feeling on my left jaw. Also when I touch my left jaw, I get this weird tingling feeling down from the left side of my neck to my bottom jaw. Basically the are where had the lesion tissue and tooth remove.

My question is I'm not sure what I should do. The doc said if I still feel numbness longer than 6 hours I should call her and she'll have to give me steriods shots. I did some research online and it says you should you should feel "numb, tingling feeling in the area for 4-6 weeks or longer." It might just be sore from the surgery but I don't believe this is what I'm feeling. Anyone know or have similar instances? Thanks.
