    Underbite surgery without braces???

Hey guys, is it possible to correct an underbite surgically without the need to wear braces to align the teeth before surgery? I've heard of some Korean doctors who are able to do it. Does anyone know any surgeon in particular who can do so??? Many thanks.

I'm no expert, but I would think it would be possible, though such a thing would be rare. The orthodontic appliances (braces) are put on prior to surgery to get the teeth in the position that the OMS wants them so they'll be properly matched. The rareness is in finding the teeth already in perfect alignment, however I won't say it's not possible.
