    Food after surgery? Healing?

Hi - I'm getting jaw surgery next month on my lower jaw so I'm starting to think about what foods I'll need. Any recipes for shakes, smoothies, soups, pureed stuff, etc. would be really appreciated. I'm making SURE to prepare this time because I remember when I got my wisdom teeth out in 7th grade (yes, SEVENTH grade!) it was a terrible experience.

I'm really worried about how long the healing process will take also, because everyone else I've ever talked to about wisdom teeth said they healed up really quickly, while I couldn't eat any solid food for 2 weeks because I was in so much pain. I also wasn't prepared with foods to eat cause I had no idea it was going to take that long to heal!

I am on the skinny side for my age, and I remember losing 10 pounds in just 2 weeks during the wisdom teeth removal also, so I want to make sure I have some good recipies for high protein & calorie stuff. (I get full really quickly so it will have to be good for me!)

    THANKS!!
