    Jaw realignment surgery, advice needed

I am really self conscious about my jaw, I think its an underbite and want advice about orthognathic surgery/jaw realignment. I have asked my dentist to refer me to this department at my local hospital but I have been waiting over a year for an appointment! I am going to uni next year and really want to get my jaw sorted Is there any quicker ways to get this surgery then through the nhs?!

Make an appointment with an orthodontist who can refer you to a good oral surgeon or vice versa. You don't need a referal for either.... You can at least start getting opinions and consultations and the work with your insurance company to try and get it covered.
