Please ask these questions of your ortho and surgeon, as they're the people who've got your x-rays and will do your treatment plan.
At your age your bones won't change without surgery, so where your jaws are now is where the will stay. Orthodontics for adults is about moving the teeth in the existing bone structure to create the best alignment and bite. If the orthodontist can see that the bone structure needs changing to correct the bite, then surgery will be recommended.
