Palette expansion surgery?

I just would like to know a cupple things about the surgery to prepare if i do need it and my palette expander doesn't work.

1. How long is recovery after this surgery?
2. Will i not be able to do anything if i do have to have it?...
3. What exactly will they do?
4. im getting the palette expander in a week or so..on the 18th of may if it doesnt work will they have to take the expander out and put it back in after the surgery or would i have had to get the expander anyway?
5. Is there pain after the surgery?
6. Is there a way to avoid surgery if the expander alown doesn't work? a 3rd option?

Try a different expander. How much expansion do you need? There are several expanders that work well for adults. Those are for example the Schwarz plate (two screws needed), Crozat appliance, ALF appliance, Homeoblock.
