Just wondering, but does anyone with or who has had i-braces have normal speech with the i-braces on?
And how long did it take to get your normal speech back?
No and you never really get it back. Sometimes it sounds worse than other times but most people don't realize that I still have the braces
i have normal speech now. it took about 2-3 weeks to get use to it for me. good luck and i hope your experience goes well![]()
This is all going to be dependent on the individual. An orthodontist friend of mine has his treatment coordinator in Incognito at the moment. It's a pretty powerful thing to be asking her how people talk with them, how they look, and how they feel, then having her show you she is wearing them!
Generally, the upper linguals are much easier to get used to than the lowers. Practice singing and talking to yourself while in the car/shower/etc and you should be back on track within a week or so like most of our patients. Good luck!

I had the top done first and the bottom 4 weeks after. It did not take me much time, but it's a continuous process. I'd say a week or two with practising a lot should get you quite far.
Sometimes, my tongue just seems tired, or my mouth is dry, but otherwise I'm doing fine.
