What was in my mouth?

Hi everyone,

I was looking over some pictures I'd taken of my lingual brace yesterday and some contraptions appeared between my teeth last month without me noticing! Even stranger, since the last adjustment they're gone again! Very mysterious. And I never even knew.

I posted the picture, they were between the second and third teeth (lateral incisor & canine), a kind of spirally thing. That's as technical as I can be really! I've heard of powerchains but don't really know what they are, and my orthodontist never mentioned anything about these? Can anyone enlighten me?

I think I had something pretty similar, except I had a spring instead of a bracket on one tooth and it was to make enough space for it to move back and align with the rest of my teeth.
It might be the same for your case too but Im not definite

I have em.. they push the teeth a little more in that spot. They called them advancements I think. For me they were supposed to push my teeth like out of my mouth since they were angled too far in but I haven't seen them work whatsoever.

They look like the 'ends' of wire ties to me. I have them on 5 of my teeth.

So they do! I thought it was something connecting the two teeth but they could be ends of tie wires. Aarh confusing! I'll try and investigate this. Thanks IHIC.
