BRACES OFF !!!!!!!! Something not right ...

My braces have finally come off after a year so happy!!! But I work at as a dental nurse at a dentist at a different place that I go to for my orthodontist. And my boss (the dentist) doesn't think that my teeth look right. He says my bite is still completely off and that I still have an overbite. .

I really don't want to go through having braces again and I cant afford to go somewhere for a second opinion. But when I take photos my teeth look like there slanted down and they look funny when I smile. I want perfect teeth (as do we all) Do my teeth weird when I smile?? (I also have a nose stud in) It just doesn't seem right and I'm so self conscious as all my friends have amazing teeth .
My boss said he could reduce the gummy smile a bit my lasering off my gum but that seems a bit drastic and something that you cant reverse if it doesnt look right. He also says this would make my teeth appear more long but to be honest my short teeth dont bother me in fact I prefer short teeth. Im 19 years of age if this makes any difference.

I can't tell much from your photo, other than your smile looks great!

Make an appointment to talk to your ortho and explain what your boss is saying and listen to what your ortho has to say.

Very few people can have what we consider as perfect teeth. Perfect teeth are a bit like anything else 'perfect', it's mostly about photoshoping or working with cosmetic faking.

Good luck being happy with your results and loving your smile! Remember retainers are forever to keep your new bite and smile!

Thanks Sunny. I dont know I just feel like my smile and my teeth slant down and arent correctly aligned I wish I could get a second opinion but cant afford to right now.
