I went in for my 1st adjustment today, and man did it feel weird to have the wire off for a little bit. The ortho recommended a heavier wire this time, something about "16". Got my clear ligs on and that's that...
As soon as I got there I requested that the lower 4 remaining brackets be put on. The ortho had me bite down to see how much room I had and he AGREED!!! I was soooooo excited. They went ahead and put the brackets and wire on and I am officially fully braced.
Well, it's been 4 weeks and things are going pretty well. My son (22 months old) hit me in the mouth on Saturday morning, and that hurt pretty bad, my mouth and teeth felt sore and like they were going to fall out all day.
Still pretty OCD about brushing, but I guess thats a good thing..
So here are my pics...

4weeks
So my 1st adjustment is next
Things are definately moving....Sometimes I feel like my teeth are going to fall out! The brackets don't bother me anymore, and I haven't needed the wax in over a week!
Here is the progress...
Day 1:
After 2 weeks:
The wire is definately looking better! Can't wait to see what the next 2 weeks bring. See you soon.
Ok, so I wasn't going to post anything today. Have been doing ok...I'm starving, and my lips hurt...wax has definately become my friend! After dinner, basically green beans and mashed potatos, and some VERY done chicken breast I was brushing and flossing my teeth and I saw it....I HAVE A SMALL GAP IN BETWEEN MY TWO FRONT TEETH! I had to pull up my before pics and ZOOM IN to see if I was really seeing a new gap....Yep, it's a change!!!
:clapping:
Well, I was hurting pretty bad last night when I went to bed, took some Ibuprofen and I slept pretty good. I'm still hitting that one bracket on the right lower, but it's not as bad as yesterday. Ironically enough, I'm already starting to get used them. Not too much rubbing/irritation to my lips/cheeks yet. ;)
