Ok so another appointment today, had all my ligs changed to white instead of clear this time, see how I like these. They were able to get 3 more bands on but I am still left without 2, ugh, I have to go back next week for spacers AGAIN AGAIN AGAIN! and then back a week after that for a regular appointment. I didn't even feel the bands being put on this time, it was pretty easy. I do not think my wire will be replaced until after all the bands are finally in place. I have some more spaces on my bottom
I seem to be doing much better, already feels like I have been in my braces for a long time, no problems. I haven't even had my first adjustment yet, but I have not had to use wax or had any mouth sores, I am so happy about that. What I cant stand is eating, It seems like such a process to get all the food out from around the brackets. It defiantly is a good way to not eat so many sweets because after one cookie I am like that is it, I just want to get them clean again.:p I still have a hard time
Ok so on 9/15/11 I went in for my braces appointment. When I first got there they took several pictures of my face, smile, teeth, etc, they made molds of my teeth which did not bother me like it did some people because I have had these done before when getting a night guard made, I knew what to expect. My advice is don't think about it and breath through your nose it only takes a minute each time. After this they went ahead and started to fit me for my molar bands, this was NOT fun for me at all!
I am 27 and finally decided to go ahead and get the braces that I have always wanted (well not really wanted but do want the ending results). My teeth are not really bad and people are like what are you getting braces for!!! I have a deep overbite, my top teeth completely cover my bottom, bite is not aligned properly because of this which hascaused TMJ. My ortho also said I had a narrow smile which I never realized till he pointed it out, so he said he will widen my smile during treatment as well.
