Hi everyone-
Been a while since I posted here, but I didn’t really have any news to report until now. (I’d like to preface this by saying that at the time this happened, I was SO OVER these braces, and my patience was ZERO.)
A few weeks ago, I went out to dinner with my family. Corn on the cob came with my meal (I’d forgotten to substitute it with something else.) I thought, “What harm can one or two bites do?” It was so DELICIOUS!! But because it’s so messy, I decided
Hi everyone-
I know it’s been a while since I’ve updated here. That’s simply because there was absolutely NOTHING to update. Aside from my upper central incisors coming together, there’s been pretty much no change anywhere else. I still have two lovely gaps from the IPR he did last month. That’s kind of sad for me, considering that I’m only supposed to have 24 days left until debracing. Uh… NOT GONNA HAPPEN, PEOPLE! Not even close. I don’t see a debracing before June, at the
Aloha all!!
Wow, what a great appointment I had this morning! My ortho decided to be a “Chatty Cathy” (pun intended) today, and was cracking jokes right and left. Great day for questions! It's like he was in my head all this time, and answered all the questions I wanted to ask before I could even ask them. I honestly have nothing more to ask him about.

AND THE WORST…PAIN…EVAH!!!
Sorry for the mini-vent/rant ahead; I just have to let it out…
Well, the day I’ve been both hoping for (and dreading, at the same time) has come to be. The dreaded ZIGZAG ELASTICS are here!! He sprung these on me with no warning, whatsoever. I heard him mumble something about “finishing…” He had the assistant put 2 more hooks on the bottom (for a grand total of 6 now), and she proceeded to give me a new bag of elastics. They were 3/8”, 6
I promise I'll make this short, as I'm a bit crabby today because my ortho was a crab, too, and I didn't get to ask him all the questions I'd hoped because he was giving me attitude.
My Class II elastics really over-corrected this past month, and my uppers and lowers were clashing like crazy. He put a kink in the upper wire by my left canine, and that seemed to relieve a lot of the pressure. I still have to wear a Class II on the right side, but I'm back to a triangle on the left.
