Well here I am eating oatmeal and a smoothie for breakfast so I can avoid chewing. I had my second adjustment yesterday and I have never felt pain in my mouth like this before. Not even the first week in braces. I have a high pain tolerance and rarely take pain medication but I did this morning. He changed my wires from the round ones to the copper rectangular ones. Wish I would have paid attention when they talked about the size, but I never seem to think it's important until afterward. I read
Eight weeks just seemed so long to wait for my first adjustment, although I know it's common. I've been wanting so badly to find out how everything is looking and maybe move things along a little faster. And of course get this dang wire clipped! I'm so tired of constantly having to use wax back there.

Last week I was complaining that my teeth hadn't moved at all after three weeks but this week there's been some progress. Yay!

I am one day short of my three week mark and it has been the longest three weeks of my life! I think I've finally gotten to a point where I can forget that I have braces for a few minutes at a time. Those first few days I thought there was no way I could stand this for 18 months and wondered what in the world I was thinking. But I've gotten used to them.
