So yesterday my attachments (or “lugs” as my ortho calls them) were put on. I am somewhat pleasantly surprised, just 4 on top and 4 on bottom, and none are on my front teeth. The process of putting them on was…err… interesting…. as I’m sure I looked great with the cheek expanders, sunglasses, and bib (haha)…but it was painless nevertheless. I did not have any IPR done… however I did see the assistant type “No IPR needed as of now, check again at next appt,” which is in six weeks.

So I've been wearing my second set of aligners for about 5 days now. Still no real pain, just felt a lot of pressure the first time I put them on. But now they come off and go on pretty easily. I get my attachments put on next week so I'm sure that will change a lot of things. I still cannot see that my teeth have moved at all, but then again, I'm not even to my 3 week mark of treatment! However, when I take them out to eat, I can definately FEEL that they have moved, as I can feel that my teeth...

So I'm new at this blogging stuff so please bear with me...I have never had braces before, so this is ALL new to me! I'm 22 years old (or at least will be in about 1 1/2 weeks) and already look pretty young for my age, so I felt regular braces would have made me look even that much younger! My ortho told me that I would be a great candidate for invisalign. My teeth are not horribly misaligned, (or at least in my opinion). The ortho said 6mm crowded both top and bottom, although the bottom teeth...
