Today I came into contact with a woman, probably in her 30s with braces. We didn't really talk beyond simple greetings. She was clearly very embarrassed by them and kept trying to hide them. I actually admired her for getting braces and thought she looked beautiful, so I felt bad that she was so ashamed.
