Thats right, today was the big day, when the braces went on. I took one last look in the mirror at what would be the last time i saw myself without braces for the next 2 years.
The next time i would see that smile, would be after all is said and done after the surgery.
To give you a quick run down, i will have these braces on for 1 year (give or take a few months), followed by surgery to bring my bottom jaw forward, then six months after that.... BRACES BE GONE.
Hey Everyone, Well i've had the spacers in for 4 days now and i can honestly say it isn't that bad. Yes my teeth are still sore, but only when i try and chew and put pressure on them. Otherwise there is no pain. I didn't realise that the spacers wouldn't be going on my far back teeth, rather the ones in front of them. So you can actually still carefully chew on the back teeth.
The only annoying sensation is it constantly feels like you have a piece of lamb caught in your teeth. HAHA.
Will it be worth it?...... Definitely. Thats what i keep telling myself.
Yesterday i got my spacers put in. For anyone who is unsure of this process, it takes about 30 seconds and consists of tiny rubber bands being inserted between your back teeth, top and bottom.
Apart from the sensation that you have something caught in your teeth, you dont feel a thing. Till you wake up the next morning that is.
When i woke up, everything felt fine. Sure my teeth
