I'm 2 months shy of having my braces for a year! Today I had 2 TADs placed on the top. Getting them placed was painless but now that I'm home they're definitely sore! Treated myself to orange Julius for lunch hoping the pain only lasts a day ish!
Just got my third adjustment. Things are going well, have a power chain on the bottom to close the gaps there. Once those are closed I have to get pins inserted to fix the overbite and to close the gaps on top. Getting a little nervous about the pins because I still don't know what is all involved in that procedure. Besides that I'm trying to stay positive...sucks when you know how slowly teeth move, I know it's necessary, but come on! lol
Second time for adjustment today and things are going great. Ortho said my bottom teeth are looking amazing. Got wires that finally reach back to my molars, put a slightly bigger wire on top again, and on the bottom got full row chain to start closing the gaps from the teeth they extracted 2 months ago. He didn't chain the top because he didn't want me in too much pain...I have a high pain tolerance so if it goes well without pain I may ask for him to put the chains on top at my next adjustment!
Got my first adjustment about 5 weeks in today!!! Went really well, Ortho loved how my bottom teeth were straightening out. Got a slightly larger wire on my top teeth, same wire on the bottom and just tightened all the bands. Things are going good and I get these stupid bumpers on the back of my top teeth taken off at my next appointment in 4.5 weeks!!! Definitely looking forward to that, so for now just keep straightening the teeth and then hopefully work on closing the gaps from my 4 tooth
Really excited to get through this first week. Still adjusting to having bumpers and finding new ways to chew, but overall things are good. Fun to notice when my teeth shift, now I can get the tips of my left molars to touch! Only problem with some shifting is the wire on my right side is now in a spot where it gets caught on my cheek whenever I eat! Ouch! Hopefully a little wax and patience and things will shift again soon so it's out of the way!
