Waiting for my 3rd adjustment on Nov 10!
It has been over three months since i have had braces and i'm being treated for bimaxillary protrusion. Now it is very awkward to smile for photos. As the ortho is pulling back my teeth, he first pulls my canines back before the incisors. so now, there is a huge gap between incisor and canine, which makes it look very awkward.

In my first adjustment, the bottom wire was changed and power chains connecting my canines with my second pre molars were attached to close the gap, which isn't obvious from this photo.
While I'm very happy to start seeing some little alignment on my lower teeth, I have been having problems with my braces. Less than 24 hours of getting them, a bracket snapped. And then few days after, another bracket snapped. Then I had an appointment to get it fixed and my orthodontist told me it was a bonding issue. Few days after, I broke my bite block, so I saw my orthodontist again. He decided to remove the bite blockthinking I no longer needed it. On that same appointment, the assistant

i missed a spot in cleaning my braces but here's week 1 for my records. i had a broken bracket too which is no longer attached to my tooth on my upper right side incisor.. (?)
can't wait for my snaggletooth on the lower left side to move! i wonder if it would've been better to pull the canine first? hmmm this area is trhe only one left that's a bit sore for now...
I'm getting ceramic braces!
I had extractions last Wednesday to remove 4 first bicuspids and they're all healing pretty well. My main concern was the gap being blatant when i talk and smile but since I have huge teeth, it's not as noticeable!
