That's great DC!

My orthodontist doesn't use molar bands, so I never had spacers. Got buccal molar brackets on six molars instead.

I've never had pain ... not one pain med has been needed.

Most people feel pain differently to others and cope differently to others. Plus people seem to mostly remember (and love to share) the bad stuff, so you'll always hear heaps more negative stuff about having braces than positive stuff!

Good luck with getting your braces put on and hope it's a good experience.

Get positive dc ... attitude plays a huge role in how you'll cope with orthodontic treatment!

I think it's totally usual to feel a bit scared, but take a deep breath and think about why you need to have this work done to your teeth and bite, and what the end results will be!

Good luck!
