Welcome, and congratulations on getting started on ytour treatment! Don't forget to keep a blog and pictures so that you can look back on your progress as your treatment continues!
I am not a dental professional.

As it says on the main Bracesreview.com page, always consult a qualified orthodontist, dentist, or medical professional with questions you may have.

Welcome! I just had mine put on yesterday and though my cheeks are all cut up and sore I'm still excited to get this over with so I have a nice healthy smile. My orthodontist also says 18-24 months. I have oral surgery next week to pull two teeth and then my top wire goes on. The top teeth are the ones that need to move the most, so I'm pretty excited to watch them straighten out. I took pictures yesterday and plan on taking some every month on the 8th until treatment is over so I can watch them move and actually get some mild entertainment for my $$ haha. Glad you could share your journey with us!

Hi and welcome to this forum Ashley!

It's great that you're happy with how your treatment is progressing. It's always exciting when adults realise there's no reason why their treatment would take any longer than someone in their teens!

    Good luck with your progress!
After 5 years, 11 months and two days of stainless steel brackets ... my teeth now have upper and lower bonded, gold wire, retainers and removable clear retainers!

Hi---LOL I do the same thing..take pics on the first week of the month...by month 1 I had dramatic changes and was so surprised. I am now at 3.5 months and the difference is MAJOR--my ortho was also surprised I moved so much and this made me VERY happy!!! I smile so much more, esp in pics--I am loving this..I avoided the camera at all costs before and now, because my canines have shifted down and my front tooth has straightened up my smile looks good, you can't really see the ceramics with the camera lense! I am grabbing my kids all the time and taking pics with them. It's such a shame I don't have many with them before now!
    Good luck on your journey!!!!!!!
