Hi guys!!!

Im Katie, im 23 from the UK.
I started my Invisalign on thurs (6/8/09) and im in a bit of pain!!
I'm over the initial- I WANT TO RIP MY FACE OFF, but getting a lot of sensitivity as im also whitening at the same time.
My treatment should be done in 22 weeks with 11 upper and 8 lower with 1 attachment on the bottom which im yet to have on.
I have had no trouble as of yet with taking out or putting in.
I'm on my 1st tray, which i have to wear for 4 weeks- not sure why??

Any help would be great!!!!

Welcome to the forum. You'll get used to them...

be careful with whitening at the same time, as you have said, your teeth may get ultra sensitive...

It's great that you're having ortho treatment Katie!

I agree with Mike ... be careful with the whitening, as it will cause sensitivity, and at this time when your teeth are just beginning to move, you may be causing yourself considerably more discomfort than is necessary.

Keep yourself well hydrated ... that's great for your body, but especially good when you're having ortho treatment. Also keep your lips moist with lip balm, as this helps them to cope with the aligners.

You may need to wear the first aligner for longer to make sure the initial movement needed is achieved. Also this is a great way to help you get used to your treatment.

yea i have noticed my lips are mega dry so always have so slap on the lip balm!!!!
i have whitened for 3 days now and the sensitivity has kind of gone away now so im pleased at that!!!!!
