Braces removed almost 10 years ago but lost my retainer soon after :(

    Hello all!!
so i'm wondering what i should do now because i'm unhappy with the alignment of my right maxillary central incisor i'm mainly concerned with my top teeth because those are the only ones i see when i smile

I will seem like an irresponsible dork after i tell my story but oh well

Got metal braces when i was a teen got them removed before going off to college back in 2000 lost my retainer the summer prior ! came back to my home state on my first break got a new retainer and stepped on that one i think a year later (it was the metal one) so it worked but not really... lost it all together some years later but no othro would let me pay for a new one

Got Invisalign summer 2006 lost the trays around Christmas and well i been crooked since!

So i was going to get braces again but i just found out my husband's insurance does not cover adults over 23 for orthodontic treatment... bummer!

Now i do not know fully what my options are... i dont think my teeth are THAT bad to pay about 5000 bucks out of my pocket... i heard of something called spring retainers... also i was wondering about orthodontic surgery...

the top left picture is my normal smile... the ones on the bottom are "Left" profile and "right" profile at an angle

any advice, surgeons websites would be great help!

    thanks in advance!

ps lol yes those are the buttons from my Invisalign... my dentist is going to remove them next month...

Hi and welcome to this forum Nola!

Your teeth look fantastic and there definitely is nothing that seems worthy of you considering surgery.

You've certainly not had much luck with completing treatment ... which will have cost you a lot without much success. If you really do want treatment, you're best to see an ortho and explain your history and ask for their suggestions.

Your teeth look like they'll need minimal treatment, but photos don't always show the whole picture. Good luck!

your teeth look great... I wouldn't sweat it, but I understand you spent good money and really liked where your teeth were the day the braces came off..

LEt us know how it turns out...

Wow ... your teeth look fantastic and look very close to being in a Class I position. If you have an overbite, it's very tiny and definitely not noticable in your pics.

Good luck with seeing this ortho ... and remember it's often best to seek advice from more than one person!

    Take care!
