A month with braces on

Hello all. I have wanted to fix my teeth ever since I was about 14 but only now (age 39) could do anything about it. I have had my lower teeth braced for about a month now. I'm waiting to have two upper teeth extracted so that braces can be put on the uppers to correct my overbite and teeth crowding issues.
I was relieved when the orthodontist said it could be done this way, rather than having orthognathic surgery to pull out my lower jaw.
Hopefully it all turns out well.

I am in the exact same boat you are in. I just got my wire in yesterday, and it will be approximately 6-7 months before I have 2 teeth extracted on the top and then my braces put on. I know this was an old post, but I am curiosu as to how things are going along for you. Hope to hear something soon.
