Uh Oh!!

Hey everyone. I'm a newbie to braces & this forum. Today is my 1st day getting separators and within 2 hours, 2 of them broke (i guess while i was eating). Do you guys think that this will be a problem for the next 2 weeks or maybe those bands were ripped a bit before being put in?

Ya, you'll want to call your ortho and see if they want to put them back in right away or wait until your next appt.

The spacers make movement that is needed for the molar bands.. so if they aren't there, than they will have a hell of a time getting them on for your next appt.

Thanks Mike. i'm actually headed back there after work. i'm just curious as to whether or not i can eat as i usually do for the whole 2 weeks i'm going to have them. i don't eat much tough foods so i hope this doesn't happen again within that time.
