Getting braces on Monday!

Hi everyone!

I am new to the site, but have enjoyed reading a lot of the posts and learning about everyone experiences with braces. I get my braces put on Monday the 30th of August. Ceramic on top, then I will get my bottom (metal) in a few months. Please check out my blog and stay tuned for what is to come.

Good luck to you on Monday! I'm so excited for you. Don't be at all nervous - getting the braces doesn't hurt a bit. I think the worst part, for me, was the nasty-tasting etching solution they put on your teeth for a minute. It tastes like sour citrus. Actually, I didn't taste it until they started rinsing it out. Blech! But everything else was a piece of cake.

You won't regret getting the ceramics. I just changed my top ones from metal to ceramic (for purely vanity reasons), and I love them to death. Are you going to get colored ligatures, or are your braces going to be self-ligating?
