Hello ~ newbie here

Hi everyone! I'm 28yo and I'll be getting braces for the first time. I'm glad there are online forums like this for moral support

I went in for my (first ever) consultation, and was so enthusiastic to start my treatment that I walked out an hour later with 8 spacers on. So far I haven't had any major pain except for some soreness. I was told that I will need 4 teeth extractions, but since I'll be out on vacation for 3 weeks next month, my orthodontist wanted me to wait until I'm back to get that taken care of.

Tomorrow (6 days post spacers) I have my second appointment -- and to be honest I have no idea what they're doing (they did tell me on the first day, but there were so many new terminologies that I lost track). For sure I'll be pre-medicating myself with some ibuprofen.

Anyway, just wanted to briefly introduce myself.
