Hey everyone, I am obviously new here. Just wanted to introduce myself!

My name is Joey, and I am a 23 almost 24 year old male. I live in south FL and am getting braces on Monday (The 22nd)! I have had braces before when I was a teen, but I took the braces of myself (sadly), and never got a retainer. Along with my braces treatment, I have to get my lower jaw operated on and moved forward to correct my overbite, and after that is all well and done, I have to get 3 implants. So basically, I have a long road ahead! I started a blog if anyone is interested in reading, though there is only one post so far, but it will be updated as time goes on...

You took them off yourself???? that sounds totally painful. I would never even thought of doing that, your crazy! LOL its okay though I like crazy people. Welcome to the forum.

I don't really remember what it felt like, but yeah I am a bit crazy. :] I wont be doing that this time around though! Being older, and just a tiny bit wiser makes me more aware of how important this treatment is going to be for me, health wise, confidence wise, and such.
