Great your treatment has started!
If you read the blogs in the blog section, hopefully you'll get a better idea of what to expect.
It's amazing that your teeth became loose so quickly! It's totally normal for teeth with braces to become loose, as they have to be loose to move.
I never had pain and rarely any discomfort. Plus I could eat the same as I did before braces. The comfort thing does seem to vary a lot and some people do experience some pain, but not a lot and not for long.
Where I work, we recommend waiting four hours after your brackets are bonded and then eating as you normally would.
Advice I give my patients ... use generous amounts of wax on any brackets that rub and leave it there to let the inside of your mouth toughen without sores. If your mouth is sore, rinse 5+ times with warm salt water. Drink more water than usual to keep your body well hydrated, as this will ensure your mouth tissue is well hydrated and finally ... make sure your oral hygiene is the best it can be. Floss once a day, brush twice a day and use a fluroide mouthrinse twice a day.
Here's to everything going well for you!
