Hello, I'm new!

Hi everyone!

I wanted to introduce myself here! I'm nearly 16 and I'm getting self-ligating braces in two weeks. I'm planning to fix my mild crowding, an edge-to-edge bite between two teeth, and my slightly narrow bite. I'm pretty sure they will be Damon braces, as those are what my orthodontist showed me. My treatment is estimated to be about 16 months. I'm excited to have a better smile and bite!

I was wondering about what my orthodontist planned for me when I get retainers. I will have upper and lower bonded retainers, as well as an upper clear retainer, but not a bottom clear one. Won't my back teeth move again without one?

Without a removable retainer to keep all your teeth in place, they will move. Talk to your ortho about this.
