Nikki - check out in your area and get an ortho consult (many, but not all are free). Ask them about financing as well (at least in the US, not sure about other countries). Many offer multiple ways to finance. I know I was offered three different ways depending what I could (or could not) afford up front and all were interest free. So it's worth checking out. But make sure you feel comfortable with the ortho you choose, don't choose one just because they can offer better cost or financing. This is a long term relationship you're starting and to like and trust who you're seeing is a huge part of the relationship. There may be a few insurance plans out there too, but I don't know of any. If you live in US and have the option of a medical reimbursement account which is annual, can be a huge savings too as it's taken out pre-tax.

    Nikki,

You do not require good credit to get braces, this is what is really remarkable for those who do not get braced for this reason. Many, most and almost all orthodontist offer in house financing , they will ask for a sizeable down payment which is based on what the total cost of your treatment would be. Generally in canada, 18 months in braces is 1000 down and 150.00 per month.

What i found in my experience during my consult, was they are more then happy to work out a payment arrangement with you, including the down payment to get your teeth fixed.

As Bekster suggested, go in for the consults, they are free ( a lot of them ) and speak to them about creating solutions to create yourself a beautiful smile, you will be surprised what is possible.

    All the best,

Be sure to share once you are on your journey!
