How long will I need braces?

Hey, so I am planning on getting braces. I am 18 years old and I want to know a rough estimate of how long I'll have them on for. I know it's really hard to tell as everyone is different but I just want an estimate from experts or people with experience with braces.

I have a picture included. I have a canine that grew over my baby canine that didn't come out. How long will that take to come down?

How long do you think I will need braces for and how long do you think it'll take down that canine as I don't want a hole in my teeth for a while?

Tough to say... best to go see several orthos. YOur bite looks good though. I would guess 24 months but it is just a guess.

I too have a canine that sits above the rest... I think that will take the longest. Not sure on how long the process will take though.

I would say no less then 18 months. My friend is going on a year her teeth looked just about yours... She had to Canine teeth that were that high tho one on each side of the top.... She has had them about a year and they have come down.. but they want to do another year to make sure it stays in place. So no less then 18 months no more than 24? Hope I helped.

I had the same problem with one of my canine teeth too, and it took less than a year to fix. But I still have braces on, because of my bite. You look like you have a good bite though, so I would say 2 years, at the most. Fixing a bite takes longer, so you're lucky if you don't have a bad one. (:
