advice please..!!

hi..i am 17 n i have a slight underbite...
i am undergoing an orthodontic treatment n recently braces were put on my upper set of teeth..my dentist plans to do the same wid the lower set too..i m not sure about the end results..earlier a dentist had warned me about the aftereffects of braces as they might result in changes in the shape of face etc..
i am in sch a state of confusion..plzz sgest if i shud continue with the treatment or not...
instead of pushing my teeth backward...isnt it btr to pull the upper set slightly outward bcz the underbite involves only 2 teeth of the lower set..
my dentist said it wud take 4-5 months but i doubt him...tell me wat to do..

Yeah i had to make the same decision as you and i stopped the treatment .. and i don't regret it, my teeth are nicely straight. But that is really something you have to decide on your own!
