I'm at my wits end with my current orthodontist. I had traditional braces when I was 18 until I was 20. I am now 22 and don't live within 1000 miles of where I previously received treatment. I'm hoping to receive advice by any registered orthodontists or patients by posting this message! I had a hawley retainer that broke a few months ago. I repaired it temporarily and went to see an orthodontist recommended by my dentist to get new retainers. My upper midline has shifted to the left and I have an upper right cross bite where the tooth just before my wisdom tooth is seated. My orthodontist said I didn't need braces and made me new clear insalign-like retainer trays. He made resets to the trays in order to move my teeth. However, he said the crossbite wasn't really causing any problems so he didn't do anything to correct it. My teeth look better but smile just doesn't look the same. I can't stand my bite with my retainers out of my booth its incredibly uncomfortable. MY right jawline (same side as crossbite) isn't as pronounced as it used to be and is causing asymmetry that didn't exist before my teeth shifted. My lips aren't very symmetrical anymore and I just don't look as attractive as I used to. I'm starting to become very depressed. I used to be incredibly confident but I feel like my self esteem is dwindling every day. My orthodontist doesn't seem to think there is anything wrong even though I've told him that something is wrong.

My jaw aches every day and I've been getting weird dizzy spells for the past couple of months. I have a not in my neck from jaw tension and my jaw clicks and pops occasionally. I've never ever experienced any issues with TMJ so this is all very knew to me.

I've gotten a few other opinions from orthodontists who would have provided the same treatment options / advice as my current orthodontist. What do I do?
