Hi, I'm new to these forums and hoping for a little reassurance.

I am supposed to get my bottom 2 molars removed tomorrow (#36 & #46) and immediately following the extraction I was *supposed* to go to my regular dentist for my LLA. I just got a call that my dentist is out sick all week now, and he won't be able to put in my LLA until next Monday. I'm a little freaked out because he emphasized so much that as soon as my teeth are extracted I need the LLA immediately or my teeth will move back etc. Now all of a sudden he wants me to wait 5 days before getting my LLA.

I guess my question is, does anyone else have experience with having extractions that would require an LLA/ULA and have it placed days later with success? I'm worried that my teeth will move and my LLA won't fit properly


I got my top braces in Sept. and had to wait on the extractions for my bottoms, so the whole process is fairly new to me.
