Default surgery after braces?

hello i am new to this board. I just had braces put on tuesday, and just found out that the ortho wants me to have a root canal on one of my molars. well i am paying cash for braces and the girl that did my consultation told me not to worry about insurance because i won't need it and now i find this about 5 mins after them putting these on.

has anyone ever dealt with this and what do you suggest. also where do bands go?

Mariah there's no 'usual' time, and more and more dentists are working to keep our third molars, if there's space and your oral hygiene is good.

If you're concerned about any future impact of your wisdom teeth on your current orthodontic treatment, discuss this with your orthodontist.

Hi,
I'm 27 and when I went at 25 to get my braces on my wisdom teeth hadnt come through but they where evident in my xrays so my dentist took them out. I know everyone is different, My husband had 5 wisdom teeth, and a friend of mine only had three!!
Hope this helps
