I went through this surgery, as to bring my lower jaw forward. You feel little pain for a week but after that every thing will be normal. But you have to be on liquid diet for some time.

Well it's been 2 months. I hope texas is alright. lol

My brother had his upper jaw moved forward and his lower jaw moved back. It's a fairly common surgey. There is nothing really to worry about...but problems do occur. I have heard of several cases where corrective dental surgery resulting in long periods of headaches. The pain is quite alright. The worst part is the liquid diet and the swelling for the first few days.

Any update on your jaw surgery? I would imagine it could be quite painful, simply moving your jaw forward doesn't seem like a small feat!

OUCH! Jaw surgery would be absolutely painful! I hope I never have to have it. I agree with chompz, do you have an update for us?
