i went up north for school for a year and i never took the chance to tell my orthodontist. i had braces on since summer of 05.. my last check up was the summer of 06.. i was suppose to have them on for about 2 years or so? i sitll have my braces on from the last time i saw them. would they still have my documents or can i still go back to start off where i left off? i use to pay about $100 a month. i know if anything they're probably going to want a full payment of where i left off with them. i am on my own and i only had about 1200 left to pay.. do you guys think theyll work something out with me or probably already canceled my contract?the rubber band thingys or whatever its called to hold the metal wire in broke. can i go to a nearby ortho to have them fix it if im out of town or anything?!
if anything, am i able to change ortho's? and start off where i left off?

When was your last adjustment. usually orthodontist keep your files for several years, so you would just pick up where you left off and continue paying down the TOTAL amount due that is broken down into monthly fees.
I really don't see it being a problem as most ortho's deal with clients not transfering, moving, coming back, etc all the time...
Good luck and keep us posted.
my last adjustment was around.. july 2006? i havent seen them since and my braces broke during thanksgiving.. haha
what can i do if the ortho wants the full amount paid right away to work on my teeth again? ;\
not much you can do but fork over the money, but i really doubt the ortho will require all the money up front, maybe just the money for the time you missed? my ortho is really laid paid on payments and works with our budget
yes, so ive missed about a year now? and i wouldve been done this year already but i havent gone... i never made appointments tho for 1 year.. would that count as payment still?! or only when they made the appointments for you to come already then you have to pay?!![]()
